Too many people focus on personality and mindset in sales, but it’s their skills which make the difference.
Sure, they need some desire but if they rely on that and personality alone they’re going to struggle when they come up against people they just don’t click with.
Skills can be improved through practise, that’s why athletes spend so much time training, but we can’t copy the sports model of practising 90% of the time and executing just 10% of the time.
However, we should definitely improve on the 99.99% doing and little or no skills development which is the norm in business.
